Long term contract position for an experienced Lead DB2 Database Administrator.  Remote during Covid, then eventually onsite in metro Atlanta, GA.

• 10 years of relational database background, of which 8+ years as a DBA is required
• Extensive work experience in information technology and diverse technological environments.  Both data and process analysis and modeling skills which include logical and physical database design, as well as physical database implementation.
• Strong knowledge of distribution database concepts and design.
• Has large database development experience in DB2 database environments.
• Strong performance tuning and trouble-shooting skills
• Understand n-tier architecture, cluster and database connectivity issues in a client/server environment
• Good knowledge and experience to build, configure, optimize and troubleshoot high availability, disaster recovery and data replication systems
• Experience with DB2 installations in advanced cluster and shared platforms

Preferred skills

• DB2/UNIX, DASD Manager, BMC Utilities
• Hardware/Operating Systems/Software:  IBM Power systems, TSM, Exadata
• RDBMS:  DB2 v11 & 12
